We've had a difficult time at heartfelt recently due to death and sickness amongst the ladies and their families. It's awful how when sickness strikes it's always a life or death situation amongst rural Africans. Why, in this day and age is there still no proper medical attention available for simple things like Malaria, Diabetes & TB? Why, when Western countries pump billions of dollars of aid into Africa every year? Where is all that money going to? Martha still has no running water at her home - one way sickness and disease spreads easily amongst communities. Heartfelt's mission is to get running water into all the homes of Makapanstad. The Government has been promising it for years, but will it ever happen? No one thinks about the Martha's, Rosemary's or Johanna's of the world. Why don't we all stand together and change the lives of these few people who really need a helping hand. And it is a matter of life & death. (Our thoughts are with Matapelo and her children right now).
