Francie is an Australian living in the Czech Republic where she runs a hostel with her husband. After visiting Africa in 2001, Francie developed a keen interest in Community Development, HIV/AIDS and poverty in Africa. She began helping out with Heartfelt after meeting Julie in 2007. Francie believes that through enterprises like the Heartfelt Project, where women are empowered by working to create their own products, they can also create their own futures.

Francie has been instrumental in helping tackle HIV/AIDS issues
among the women and the community and is in the process of
putting together a Heartfelt HIV/AIDS booklet filled with valuable
information. She is also working on socio and economic
developments at the project which range from installing eco-loos,
educating the ladies about hygiene, teaching them about growing
